This dog carrier was developed as part of an independent study in collaboration with a professional patternmaker. Designed specifically for my Shiba Inu, the project began with taking precise body measurements and progressed through 3–4 prototype iterations to refine fit, structure, and comfort. The final design integrates reinforced padding for the dog, structured walls to maintain form, and functional details including a built-in laptop sleeve and a carabiner for waste carry. Cross-body, waist, and chest straps distribute weight for stability, while zip-close openings for legs and head allow the carrier to transform into a clean, structured bag when not in use.
