Role:
- Experimental patternmaking & material-driven sample development
- Garment construction with adaptive structural elements
- Creative direction for conceptual photo & video
- Video editing and visual storytelling assets
This upcycled wingsuit jacket was developed as an exploratory design project, transforming a deconstructed tent into a functional, sculptural outerwear piece. The garment investigates volume, adaptability, and movement through intentional patternmaking and material reuse, allowing the silhouette to expand, contract, and shift with the wearer. The design incorporates a convertible hood, adjustable components throughout, and elevated shoulder vents that enhance breathability while activating the form. Zippered and pull-system details along the back introduce additional ventilation and modular control, enabling the wearer to physically manipulate airflow and structure in real time. Through this project, I explored the intersection of technical construction, sustainability, and expressive form, demonstrating how upcycling can support both performance and conceptual storytelling within a single garment.
