Antipodal Capsule Collection

Role:
- Concept development & collection design
- Patternmaking, sewing & garment construction
- Heat-set pleating & material experimentation
- Styling & creative direction
- Photography, set design & visual production
The Antipodal Collection explores contrast and duality through two opposing yet interconnected looks: a winter fairy and a distressed siren. Designed and executed as a fully independent project, the collection examines softness versus decay, elegance versus disruption, and the tension between fantasy and reality. Both garments were constructed using upcycled materials and experimental techniques, including heat-set pleating and distressed surface treatments, to manipulate texture, light, and movement. Through intentional patternmaking and fabrication choices, the pieces balance ethereal delicacy with raw structural elements, allowing each look to communicate a distinct emotional narrative while remaining visually connected. Beyond garment construction, the project encompassed full creative direction—from sourcing and styling models to building custom backdrops, photography, and visual storytelling. The Antipodal Collection functions as both a design study and a world-building exercise, translating conceptual contrast into cohesive, expressive form.
